The year: 2012. The place: the beautiful city of ‚Anytown‘. Thanks to the omnipresence of affordable PC’s, smartphones and tablet computers and a close-knit network of wired and wireless internet access points, the majority of Anytown’s good people are now online 24/7. Here, the Internet has evolved into an almost natural part of their every-day-lives. It is a place where small businesses and their customers are interacting in an open dialogue. A place, where local businesses are advertising personalized offers to their potential new customers in real time – Welcome to the brave new online world!
What at first look might appear like an overly optimistic marketeers vision of the future, can in fact already be said about many places – except, probably, for the idea of frictionless communication between customers, prospects and SMBs, where some optimizing might still be necessary 🙂
